Bromley Cross

General: Bromley Cross is an affluent residential commuter village for the Bolton and Manchester region, with a population of approximately 13,000+. In September 2011 it was voted the 5th best place in Britain to live and raise a family, evidencing its warm, friendly atmosphere and prime location.

Location: Bromley Cross lies on the Southern edge of the Pennine Moors. It is served by the A666 Bolton to Blackburn Road to the West and various other A roads into Bolton town centre. Bromley Cross boasts its own railway station which is on the Ribble Valley line. Northern Rail supplies the train services to Manchester Victoria, Bolton and Clitheroe via Blackburn. There is an extensive bus service in Bromley Cross to Bolton town centre for various bus connections, including:

  • No 537 & 541 Arriva to Bolton town centre
  • No 538 Maytree to Bolton town centre

Healthcare: There is a health centre in Bromley Cross itself and further doctor surgeries in neighbouring areas:

In the Northern part of Bromley Cross is Last Drop Village which hosts a pub, craft shops, restaurant, hotel.
