Heaton / Deane
General: Heaton and Deane are two residential districts around two miles from the town centre on the south slope of the Western Pennine moors. They offer ideal locations for commuting into Bolton Town Centre and into Manchester.
Location: Heaton and Deane are situated near to the A673 Bolton - Chorley road. The nearest rail station is Bolton which runs services through to Manchester. The areas are served by strong bus links with No 575 & 576 run by First Manchester, Maytree and Arriva running services between Bolton and Wigan. Maytree also run the No 505 and 714 service into Bolton.

Leisure: Moss Bank Park is located nearby and there is also Deane Community Leisure Centre which offers a wide range of facilities. Nearby Bolton Town Centre offers the usual high street shops and a mall. Heaton is also home to Heaton Cricket club.
